InjuryAssessment & Exercise Based Rehab Plans

Whether you are injured participating in sport or whether your injury has occurred during daily activity, you will want to get back to your sport or normal routine as quickly as possible. Using a range of assessments to help establish the source and severity of any injury will lead to advice on how to manage an acute injury such as a sprain or strain, whether any further investigations are needed or rehabilitation can commence. Following the assessment, a personalised exercise-based rehabilitation plan will be agreed and if possible started on site.

InjurySpecific Rehabilitation

Following any type of injury, rehabilitation is the process you go through to help regain full function. A structured rehabilitation programme specific to the injury and individual will help to ensure proper recovery, helping to restore strength, flexibility, endurance, balance coordination and power before progressing onto the return to sport, activity, or occupational tasks. Sessions can be booked to complete rehabilitation on site with use of a rehabilitation room and suitable equipment.

 

NeuromuscularElectrical Stimulation (NEMS)

Making use of NEMS is a safe, comfortable, and efficient way of enhancing workouts, training, and recovery programs. NEMS can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as part of a rehabilitation programme to help you recover from injury quicker when unable to exercise fully, for pre- and post-surgery recovery or as a way of managing pain caused by injury.

RecoverySession

Whilst it is clear from the evidence that the best way we can recover from physical activity is by getting good amounts of rest and sleep, hydrating well and by eating a well balanced diet sometimes our training needs or hectic lifestyles need a helping hand. These sessions will combine active recovery, stretching, massage and electrical stimulation to help you with your recovery so that you’re in a better position to enjoy the activities you love.

SportsMassage

Sports massage is a way of helping your body get ready for events, games or matches and can also help as part of a recovery programme potentially helping to improve recovery times in between busy schedules. Massage can relax you; help keep you healthy and injury free and is used sometimes as part of an injury rehabilitation programme.
